Hip Shots Photography creates custom photographic artwork on a variety of materials including papers, canvas, metal and many more. We excel in any situation that requires a unique and memorable perspective combined with diverse expertise in production photography and finishing.
We work with couples to capture their wedding memories in a blend of traditional and photo-journalism, and we specialize in beautiful classic portraiture and glamour images that show your favourite style and unique personality.
We work with commercial clients to create vibrant, inspiring product images of picturesque architecture panoramas, enticing food captures, mesmerizing technology displays, soft and delicate mood shots and pretty much any impression you want your customers to receive. We can design the concept, produce the images and deliver the results.
We are passionate about photography, we take pride in our work and we love our jobs. Our most important asset is you; and with that in mind, our goal is to deliver your artwork solutions on time, on budget and exceed your expectations.About Us

Hi! Hello - we hope you're doing well! We are Hip Shots Photography, Eric and DC Richter, a husband and wife team of photographers and image finishing aficionados in Southern California.
We met in 1998 and it's been great for us ever since. Collectively we have 5 kids, all of whom have launched out of the house. We love to travel, dine well, photograph interesting things and people, and finish the images in Photoshop. We love the play of light, texture and color that gives life to our vision of the world.
DC is an eternal romantic with a lot of creative inspiration and happiness in her soul, while I am more of the mad scientist type that drives the technology and logistics. Between us, we have an amazing balance of ying & yang, art & science, laughter and intensity, relaxation and diligent work. We'd love to put our talents to work for you!
We ask ourselves what we would want from the photographer we hired for our wedding. We would want that person to be knowledgeable about the techniques to use to get awesome shots, do their homework and planning, be reliable and show up prepared, capture the special moments perfectly, be really creative with the posed shots, finish the images in a reasonable time, deliver them for a reasonable price, be responsive about our concerns and communicate about progress through all of it. We have high standards in what we would want of our photographer and we promise to deliver services and finished images within these very same standards.

We feel that information about you should be kept private unless you 'opt-in' and allow us to use it for other specified purposes. This policy defines what information about you we collect, how we store it and what we do with it.
1. Information We Collect:
a) Information you give to us in the course of doing business such as your name, address, phone number and email address,
b) Information we get from your use of our services such as your IP address, computer name, which pages you viewed on our website.
2. How we use information we collect:
a) To provide the services that you request,
b) To understand what products interest you.
3. Information we share:
a) At your request, we may furnish selected information about your product interest to other companies that are of interest to you,
b) We may share your IP address, name and computer name with our system administrators and our vendors system administrators for system and user account maintenance,
c) We may share your name, address, email address, phone number and order details with our printing and billing affiliates in order for them to process your order,
d) We may share any or all of your information if ordered by a court of law to do so.
4. Information security:
a) All information about you that is in our possession is kept secure by the use of computer security policies including the use of strong passwords and the use of encryption when it is transmitted to our affiliates for processing,
b) Information about you is kept in the least possible number of locations and, where possible, is not stored on portable computers (laptops).
5. Scope of this Policy:
a) These policies apply only to operations and websites that we control. When your information is sent to our affiliates to print your images or collect your payment, we no longer control that information. Our affiliates maintain their own privacy policies for which we are not responsible,
b) When we begin doing business with affiliate companies, we evaluate their privacy policies. If we find that their privacy policies are significantly less restrictive than our privacy policies, we will not engage in business with them.
6. Compliance and updates:
a) We train ourselves and our staff to have an awareness of privacy concerns and we agree to police ourselves continually to protect your information as described herein,
b) As needs arise and circumstances change, we may review and modify this policy,
c) If we modify this policy to increase your privacy, we will not notify you,
d) We will not reduce your privacy without your express consent.
